They all lived in California in the early 20th century: Japanese immigrant Makoto Hagiwara, the owner of the Japanese Tea Garden, Chinese immigrant David Jung, founder of the Hong Kong Noodle Company in Los Angeles and Japanese immigrant Seiichi Kito, the founder of Fugetsu-do in Los Angeles' Little Tokyo.

High-heeled shoes were not originally designed for women. Persian men in the 10th century, wore heels while on horseback so their feet would fit better in the stirrups. This trend that was then adopted by Europeans at the turn of the 17th century when women claimed them.
